THE ABANDONMENT OF SOCIETY
Robert Frank took this black and white fritter away on the Fourth of July, 1958 at Coney Island. In the photograph, a unseasoned African American is lying on the edge in the fetal position. There are lot gathering in the background to celebrate the liberty Day. Looking at the photograph closely, eitherones dressing in white against the dark cast away; while this young gentleman is dressing in black. He was alienated by the crowd around him, or in other words, by society.
On July 4, 1776, Americans claimed their independence from Britain and Democracy was innate(p) (Independence Day July 4th, par. 1). United States is truly a diverse kingdom made up of ever-changing people. He is part of those dynamic people, though he is so different from the rest of them. His pare down is darker, or they call him negro. 1958 is the period of the European postwar. Soldiers should be honor, but he isnt. Lying alone on the beach and facing away from others betraying that hes not legitimate by the society.
Being different in this society is not the only thing on his mind right now. subsequently the war, recession starts to bite in America with 5.2 million people unemployed, especially for African-Americans (The people history blog).



He works so hard to support his family, but he still cannot procession up the status ladder. This outfit is the nicest things that he owns. He keeps them clean, compress and wears them to work every day so others will not look down upon him. But it does not matter if he changes the way he looks, he will always be seen as a low class individual in this society.
Equality is about creating a fairer society, where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfill their potential (London Deanery pg. 2). The feeling of not be able to be included in a past celebration like everyone else sets him apart for all others.
