Education has been at the essence of humanity since ancient times. Although tenet methodology has undergone drastic changes over time, pauperization has, whether overtly or discreetly, always been a key factor in educational success. Successful language learners must take accountability for their own education and take steps to fulfill their goals. The successful language learner similarly takes culture into account. In society to fully understand a language, one must also understand its culture. The term lost in translation emerged because there have been instances when there is no way to translate a word or phrase directly due to heathen restrictions.
