templet Finch is a very stubborn little girl. She is the main character in To Kill a Mockingbird written by harpist Lee. In the story, sentinel learns about hypocrisy and racism at an early age. She is brave and does things most would not at her age. Scout is intelligent and sees things with a mind that has not been corrupted by others. A theme of this story is not to judge a person by his or her skin color.
Scout Finch shows courageousness throughout the book. Her father, Atticus, tells her to take the proud road and not to interlace in any fighting if person says something hurtful. So when a cliquemate of hers insults her father it takes every ounce of her will reason to walk forward, I drew a bead on him, remembered what Atticus had said, then dropped my fists and walked away, Scouts a cow-ward! hoop in my ears. It was the first time I ever walked away from a fight (81). Scout knows she is not to fight with anyone who says something unpleasant to her, and she is brave enough not to do it. She holds her head high and does not let their words effect her.
The reader sees Scout grow up in this book, and with every page she gets much and more intelligent. After the trial Scout overhears Mrs.
Gates, her third t bothy teacher, talk to someone about how it is about time someone put those black people in their place. Then during class Mrs. Gates talks about how she hates Hitler for being so fierce to the Jews when they have not done anything to deserve it. Scout hears all of this and does not understand, so she talks to Jem, รข€¦how can you hate Hitler so bad an then turn around and be noisome about folks good at home (249-250). She knows that it is haywire to treat colored people wrong, and what Hitler is doing to the Jews is wrong. We learn that Scout understands what is right and what is wrong.
