Dear Parents and Students,
Since it was first identified last spring, H1N1 flu (formerly Swine flu) has quickly spread around the globe. Influenza activity in North Carolina is currently above the seasonal baseline and this bowel movement is expected to continue.
In order to minimize the risk of a flu outbreak at our school, we ask that you take these safety actions:
WASH YOUR HANDS often with soap and water, especially afterwards a cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleansers are to a fault effective.
Cover the nose and mouth with a thread during a cough or sneeze and then throw the tissue in the trash.
If a tissue is not available, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hands.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. This is how germs spread.
DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL IF YOU ARE throw away! The flu is very contagious and you do not lack to make others sick. You need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
Your fever should be gone without the phthisis of fever reducing medicine.
H1N1 Flu Symptoms Include:
Fever, Cough, Sore Throat, consistency Aches, Chills, Fatigue, Runny or Stuffy nose, Headache and possibly nausea and vomiting.
If you do set off the flu, I encourage you to see your atomic number 101 as soon as possible. There are antiviral drug medicines available that help fight the flu, and they work best if started at heart 2 days of developing the symptoms.
