Meridians Pistol Wing Offense
Pistol Wing Offense- The Pistol-Wing is a hybrid wickedness employing concepts from the Wing glumense while utilizing a Pistol backfield.

-Had implemented the Double Wing offense in 2007 with moderate success
-Sought a channelize that would succumb us a unique look
-Wanted to maintain the Wing concepts/formations that we had already installed
-Wanted to gain an advantage in the utilization of our quarterback and the transeunt game
-Originally intended to use it only as a change up during games and in passing situations
-We only lined up under center to run sneak
Where we learned about the Pistol

What adding the Pistol brought to our offense
-Change without an overhaul
-Allowed us to maintain everything we had been doing
-Snap was simpler than in the shotgun
-Lots of off season repetition
-Almost impossible to miss unless there is just a major screw up
-Plays hit quicker than in the shotgun
-Backs are right on the ball in a hurry
-Created diverse angles in our run offense
-Ran off holes rather than through holes
-Eliminated iteration motion with backs
-Tighter motion
-Gave us a different look and bettor read on the option
-Downhill towards the DE
-Allowed us to better utilize more or less zone reads
-Created time in our pass offense
