Functionalism and it results on media Analyzing the media allows us to examine the way people, institutions and corporations head for the hills in their given confederation. Studying the media enkindle help us understand how members of baseball club and the media inter play to create an equilibrium or status quo. One theory on sociological ikon which we will look at, and see it’s effect on society and media is Functionalism. Functionalism is a social theory regarding the structure and full treatment of society. Functionalists look at society consisting of interdependent sections or areas, which civilize with each other to achieve a functional persistent society. The people are given roles which fulfill a rent in that given area of that society. Functionalists believe that behavior is morphologic in a society and that rules and values provide musical arrangement and guidelines to establish the roles for it’s members. You can visualize a society from a functionalist perspective by thinking of a society as a system where all the parts act together and provide a means of fulfilling or achieving ineluctably for the society in general . The areas in which works inwardly the system are social, cultural, ideological, economical and political. The objective is of these areas and the system as a whole, is to maintain an equilibrium by maintaining order and the creating a norm. Functionalists believe in complex societies with specialization, where each person's childbed depends on others performing their tasks effectively.
